That’s why we created HoldOn: plant-based, nontoxic bags that are just as strong and durable as traditional plastic bags, so you don’t have to sacrifice convenience to care for the planet.

Can I use HoldOn bags for trash?

Yes! Use HoldOn bags just like you would a normal garbage bag; fill, tie, and toss. Once in a dump or landfill, it will break down into nontoxic elements.

Do I need to compost HoldOn bags?

You can, but you don’t need to. HoldOn bags are designed to reduce plastic waste, no matter how you take out your trash. You can compost them commercially using a compost service, or compost them at home, and HoldOn bags will break down cleanly in a matter of weeks.

What is HoldOn packaging made of?

We use minimal packaging. Our packaging is all recyclable and FSC-certified.
